Ice Cream Sandwich rolls out to Sony XPERIA P
Sony has started to roll out the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update as well as Album, Walkman, and Movies media apps to the XPERIA P.
Walkman is the Japanese firm’s social music app. The app has social network integration, which allows users to find out more about music with friends. Albums is a new way of browsing and sharing your videos and pictures. Movies is a video player that searches for more information on the video you are watching.
Once the update is available for your handset, the phone will prompt you via a message to download the update via 3G, Wi-Fi, Mac, or PC. It will be rolling out to the handset in the next few weeks, depending on your network or region.
Ice Cream Sandwich will find its way to other handsets such as the XPERIA U, Sola, and Go after the XPERIA P rollout. However, Sony failed to mention when exactly the said handset were to receive the update.
