Three rolls out Ice Cream Sandwich update for HTC Sensation XE

If you own an HTC Sensation XE with the network operator Three, you’ll be happy to know that the network has recently rolled out the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update to the high-end Android smartphone sporting Beats Audio technology by Dr Dre.

Three announced the ICS rollout to the Sensation XE on their official Twitter account. Ice Cream Sandwich will arrive on your handset via an OTA (over the air) update.

Although Three has announced the ICS rollout for the Sensation XE on Twitter, it is unclear what the update brings to the smartphone. However, based on what we’ve seen on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, we expect a number of enhancements in performance, browsing, interface, and new features such as Face Unlock, a feature that allows users to unlock their handset with facial recognition software.

On Three’s website, Sensation XE owners will find download instructions for the update as well as tips for people new to updating their phones. These tips include using a Wi-Fi connection to prevent users from going over their monthly data allotment and ensuring that the battery is fully charged to prevent interruptions during the update process.

Three is doing a good job in rolling out updates to its customers. Before the network rolled out the update to Sensation XE users, it rolled out Ice Cream Sandwich to Samsung Galaxy S2 owners just a few days after Samsung rolled out the update to SIM-free versions of the S2.

HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio landing on October 1st

These days, you never have to get a separate player and Beats headsets to enjoy your tracks. You can now enjoy more from your music with the HTC Sensation XE sporting Beats Audio headphones by Dr. Dre. The new smartphone will be landing in the UK in a few weeks, specifically on October 1st.

The upgrade to HTC’s current flagship will be available with a contract at £36 per month. It will be available on various UK network providers.

The in-ear Beats headphones will allow you to enjoy an audio experience like never before. The experience is similar to locking yourself in a room filled with woofers. Prepare for some earth-shaking fun.

Aside from sporting Beats Audio in-ear headphones, the Sensation XE comes packed with a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor under the hood. The current Sensation packed a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, which offered unsurpassed power. So you can just imagine the processing power the XE has to offer.

HTC will be bringing a fleet of new handsets in the near future. This includes the Radar and Vigor. The rumored HTC Bliss (or Rhyme), a phone caters more to women, has also surfaced on the internet. It looks like the Apple iPhone 5 will be facing stiff competition.

The HTC Sensation XE will sport Beats

HTC’s current flagship will be getting an upgrade with the Sensation XE. This new smartphone will sport Beats audio technology by Dr. Dre and other hardware upgrades.

This new powerhouse will sport Beats headphones. Like other Beats headsets in the market, the headphones that come with the HTC Sensation XE will deliver sound quality like none other. They come with cable remotes that allow users to control their music as well as answer calls through an onboard microphone.

Aside from the beat-heavy headphones, the Sensation XE will pack a more powerful dual-core processor under the hood. Compared to the Sensation’s 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, the XE will sport a 1.5 GHZ dual-core processor. The previous version offered unsurpassed performance. You can just imagine what the XE has to offer.

To accommodate this much power under the hood, the Sensation XE will sport a bigger battery. This is said to make the batteries last longer on this power-packed smartphone.

When it comes to appearance, the Sensation XE will be given a new paintjob. The smartphone will come with crimson-red accents, with a red Beats audio logo on the back of the device. Not only will the XE sport beefed up specs, it will get pimped up. Compared to the dull exterior of the previous Sensation, the new look does add a new flavor to the phone’s aesthetics.

The Sensation XE is expected to sport an 8 megapixel snapper just like its predecessor. Furthermore, it will be powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Can’t wait to get your hands on a Beats audio sporting HTC Sensation XE? According to the Taiwanese phone giant, the smartphone will be landing towards the end of September. We’ll keep you posted once we know more.
