Worried you might drive up your data charges while watching the Olympic Games? Thanks to O2, this will never be a problem. Exhibition Road, Piccadilly Circus, and Leicester Square will be three amongst seven areas O2 will be providing free Wi-Fi to during the 2012 London Olympics. This means free internet on devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S3 or new iPad. Better yet, you don’t have to be an O2 customer to benefit from free Wi-Fi.
How do you connect to these hotspots? All you have to do is register once and that’s it. You no longer have to worry about using 3G internet, or having to pay roaming charges if you’re visiting from another country.
London Mayor Boris Johnson said, “With millions of extra people coming to town for the Games, we want to ensure we showcase the capital as the best city in the world to work and visit. The addition of free Wi-Fi to some of our most popular landmarks is crucial in helping to maintaining that reputation.”
