Leaked Images of the White iPhone 5 Surface before Release Date
Before the official announcement of the iPhone 5 takes place, leaked images of the handset surfaces on the internet. These images came from MIC (made in China) Gadgets, which is a blog about life and the subculture in China. The subculture includes knockoffs to popular digital devices and tech stories. It is also an online gadgets store.
The images spurred a number of rumors. Some say that the images showed a beefed up version of the iPhone 4. There are others that say that this is actually the iPhone 5. However, there is more information that can be gathered from these leaked images.
First of all, the device’s back is entirely made from aluminum. If you remember, the iPhone 4’s back was made from glass. This resulted in a number of issues. The smartphone was more prone to scratches and cracks, which devalued the phone’s aesthetic value.
Another piece of information gathered from the images is a slightly larger touch screen display compared to the 4th generation iPhone. Previous reports suggested that Apple was to retain the 3.7 Retina display, which disappointed a number of iOS smartphone enthusiasts. Now, they can be invigorated once more with the hopes of more real estate being granted.
We have also heard reports of the iPhone 5’s design being similar to the iPod Touch. From the looks of the images, the smartphone will resemble the iPhone 3G S more than the iPod. Although it will resemble the design of the older smartphone, it still looks thinner than normal.
As of now, there is no official word from Apple. This means that these images should still be treated as speculation. Don’t worry though. It has been reported that Apple is soon to officially announce the device in the months to come. This leads us to believe that the 5th generation smartphone will be out by September.
