iPhone 4S voice calls getting worse?

Apple’s support forums reveal that more owners of the iPhone 4S are complaining about the phone’s voice calls. It looks like the problem is further intensifying.

The forums are flooded with massive complaints from owners of the iPhone 4’s successor. Customers complain about audio disappearing with both inbound and outbound calls. Pages upon pages worth of complaints are starting to pile up, which suggests that the problem may be even bigger than the iPhone 4’s antenna problems.

Initially, the problem was thought to only affect a small number of iPhone 4Ses. Customers have reported to experience an irritating echo effect when either Apple or third-party headphones were plugged in. However, more of the smartphone’s users have been coming forward claiming that the problem is also experienced without the headphones plugged in. It looks like Apple is facing widespread scrutiny. What good is any phone if it will not allow you to make and take calls?

Aside from the iPhone 4S’s voice call problems, it is known to drain the batteries faster than expected; Siri reveals personal information, and a hacker revealed that an iOS bug allows other people to steal personal data such as contacts, photos, and sending text messages through the phone without its users even knowing.

According to some users, the voice call issues of the iPhone 4S can be resolved by tapping on the handset’s speaker button. Others claim that a system restore also provides a temporary fix.

Are you experiencing voice call issues on your iPhone 4S? Have you discovered a solution to problem? If you have, please share it through a comment.

Siri issues come up – more problems for Apple’s iPhone 4S

It looks like issues surrounding Apple’s iPhone 4S are starting to build up. There have been reports of issues with the virtual assistant Siri.

Complaints of Siri not being able to connect to the network have flooded the internet. This suggests that either Apple’s network or servers is the problem. The result is Siri answering, “Sorry I am having trouble connecting to the network”.

It looks like the problem is not limited to US customers. There have also been reports of customers in the UK who are experiencing the same issue. According to some users, resetting the iPhone 4S resolves the issue. However, we haven’t been able to verify if the solution works.

It looks like problems with Apple’s new smartphone are building up. Previously, there have been iPhone 4S users who experienced the phone’s battery life draining too quickly. Apple has recently admitted the problem and has promised a fix via a software update. There have also been reports of voice call echoes when either third-party or Apple wired headphones were plugged in. Now, Siri has temporarily shut down. Sadly, Apple is yet to release an announcement whether they are addressing the problem or not.

This definitely doesn’t look good for the iPhone 4S. If more problems with the smartphone pile up, this will give the consumer a reason to get their hands on a Samsung Galaxy Nexus or a Motorola Razr instead.

Are you experiencing issues with Siri? Have you found a solution to the problem? Let us know through a comment.

Apple iPhone 4S sells 1 million units on pre-order in the first 24 hours

Just the other day, we reported that the Apple iPhone 4S sold over 200,000 units on pre-order on US network AT&T alone. This means that the phone had the makings of a sales record breaker. Today, that prediction has come true. According to Apple, their mirror-image to the iPhone 4 has sold 1 million units in the first 24 hours it went available for pre-order.

For those who doubted the iPhone 4S’ lack of original design would turn out to be a success, this is definitely a slap in the face. Many thought that the new iPhone was a big disappointment. It didn’t come with the 4 inch display and curved design many expected. This led experts to believe that it wouldn’t sell as good as the iPhone 4. However, it just shattered the iPhone 4’s first day pre-order sales of 600,000. With the 1 million pre-orders on the first day it went live, no one will ever doubt Apple’s intuition.

With the iPhone 4S’ record breaking first-day sales, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the Google Nexus S’ successor, is sure to have a lot of catching up to do. This goes the same for other rivals such as the HTC Sensation XE.

Do you still think the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has what it takes to give the Apple iPhone 4S a run for its money? Give us your thoughts.
