iOS 5.0.2 update to fix iPhone 4S battery problems possibly delayed
Apple’s iOS 5.0.2 update is expected to finally fix the battery issues surrounding their new handset the iPhone 4S, which Apple is said to be working on, double-time, to deliver. Sadly, the Cupertino firm experienced a bump along the road, which threatens to delay the update from rolling out as scheduled.
The cause of the delay was due to memory issues. Apple developers would like to get these issues fixed before rolling out the battery fix. It seems the company would like to get everything done, instead of rolling out a follow-up update for a different issue.
Other issues of the iOS 5 involve Wi-Fi issues surrounding the iPad, iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, and iPhone 4S have been discovered recently. We’re hoping the iOS 5.0.2 update addresses these issues as well.
The iOS 5 running on the iPhone 4S is currently subject to scrutiny from a number of disappointed new owners. Other issues involve users experiencing white noise while on voice calls. Initially, the problem has been reported to affect vice calls when either third-party or Apple headsets are plugged in. Recently, reports have flooded Apple’s support forums of the issue affecting ordinary voice calls.
We’re hoping Apple rolls out the iOS 5.0.2 update soon, and we’re hoping it addresses all the issues surrounding its devices particularly the iPhone 4S. We’ll keep you posted once we hear more news on the update’s progress.
