Blackberry London the only handset to run Blackberry 10 – Colt and Milan given the boot
RIM (Research In Motion) has made public that it is currently developing a number of superphones running their latest OS, Blackberry 10, formerly known as the BBX. However, according to BGR, there is only one handset in the works. This is the Blackberry London. The Milan and Colt have said to have been given the boot.
Although the Milan will not be one of the handsets running Blackberry 10, it’s possible we might just get to see the smartphone in the future. However, it will ship running the disappointing Blackberry 7 OS just like Bold Touch 9900, Torch 9860, and the Curve 9360.
Despite being the only handset to ship running Blackberry 10, we honestly hope the London will turn things around for the ailing Canadian phone manufacturer. The superphone is likely to be unveiled at either Blackberry DevCon Europe or Mobile world Congress in February. RIM will be featuring the updated QNX software for the Blackberry PlayBook at CES this month.
Do you think the Blackberry 10-powered Blackberry London will turn things around for RIM, or do you think it has more chances getting back in the game with more than one superphone running its next generation software? Share your thoughts through a comment.
