BBM slowly eking its way back in – Blackberry users demand compensation

According to RIM, the BBM, email, and internet access are slowly eking their way back in handsets such as the Blackberry Torch 9860 and the Torch 9810. Despite these services slowly finding their way to RIM’s handsets, users are demanding compensation for being offline for 3 days.

On the company’s official website, RIM said, “All services across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as well as India, have been operating with significant improvement.

“We continue to monitor the situation 24×7 to ensure ongoing stability. Thank you for your patience.”

Okay. So it’s still not a hundred percent, which simply means it’s still useless. For 3 days, businessmen on Blackberry handsets couldn’t make use of Blackberry services that were supposed to make things more productive. For 3 days, teens constantly on the BBM couldn’t chat with their friends. This is the reason why Blackberry’s users are demanding compensation.

When the PlayStation Network finally went online after going down for quite some time, Sony offered its gamers free subscriptions to the company’s services as well as free games. Will RIM do the same? Will they offer their loyal users with free apps to appease them?

Unfortunately, RIM is yet to comment if they will be giving their customers any form of compensation. We’ll keep you posted once we know more.
