iCloud Revives Previously Banned Apps – How Long Will This Last?

Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO, currently made waves with the announcement of the iOS 5 as well as the iCloud in the recent WWDC this 2011.

Although the iOS 5 is not currently available to the public, despite a young hacker from Istanbul making the beta developer’s version available to the public, it plans to revolutionize your mobile experience on device such as the iPhone 4, the iPad, and the iPad 2.

The new iCloud service is another exciting new feature. It allows users to download their tracks to as much as 10 iOS devices with no extra fee. Apparently, this does not work for music alone. It also works for a number of discontinued or banned apps.

In the past, there were a few apps that got through Apple’s strict guidelines and found their way on the iTunes App Store. Examples of these apps were iDOS and the counterfeit Mario. For those users who were able to download these apps before they got banned, feel free to use them. However, don’t expect to download them again once you uninstall them.

This is all about to change with the developer’s version of iCloud. Apple’s cloud service allows you to download once more the apps that you once lost. This includes the banned and discontinued apps. Regardless of not being available in the App Store, the new service allows you to enjoy these apps once more.

This new found way to resurrect apps once lost or discontinued seems to be a flaw in the developer’s version. Before the service rolls out to iPhones and iPads, don’t be surprised if the option is no longer available.

Oh well. Maybe Mert Erdir from Istanbul, the genius behind making the iOS 5 available now to iPhones, can take a look and find a way. Maybe he’ll get Steve Job’s attention this time.
