Before the official announcement of the iPhone 5 takes place, leaked images of the handset surfaces on the internet. These images came from MIC (made in China) Gadgets, which is a blog about life and the subculture in China. The subculture includes knockoffs to popular digital devices and tech stories. It is also an online gadgets store.

The images spurred a number of rumors. Some say that the images showed a beefed up version of the iPhone 4. There are others that say that this is actually the iPhone 5. However, there is more information that can be gathered from these leaked images.
First of all, the device’s back is entirely made from aluminum. If you remember, the iPhone 4’s back was made from glass. This resulted in a number of issues. The smartphone was more prone to scratches and cracks, which devalued the phone’s aesthetic value.
Another piece of information gathered from the images is a slightly larger touch screen display compared to the 4th generation iPhone. Previous reports suggested that Apple was to retain the 3.7 Retina display, which disappointed a number of iOS smartphone enthusiasts. Now, they can be invigorated once more with the hopes of more real estate being granted.
We have also heard reports of the iPhone 5’s design being similar to the iPod Touch. From the looks of the images, the smartphone will resemble the iPhone 3G S more than the iPod. Although it will resemble the design of the older smartphone, it still looks thinner than normal.
As of now, there is no official word from Apple. This means that these images should still be treated as speculation. Don’t worry though. It has been reported that Apple is soon to officially announce the device in the months to come. This leads us to believe that the 5th generation smartphone will be out by September.
Speculations on the release date of the Apple iPhone 5 are not new to us. We have heard reports from reputable analysts that Apple’s supply confirms the said smartphone’s release. Now, multiple sources have confirmed that there is truth in what Apple’s supply chain is saying.
According to sources, the 5th generation iPhone will be released this coming September. Although when in September is a bit sketchy, the smartphone will start production somewhere in between July and August. This will be enough time to get the smartphone in stores by September.
There are three informants who have direct ties with Apple’s supply chain. This is how these informants have gotten their hands on detailed information about the said smartphone.
These reports also confirm some of the smartphone’s specifications. The phone will definitely come with a dual-core processor similar to the iPad 2’s A5 processor. The reports have also confirmed that the smartphone will have similar aesthetic features compared to the current iPhone 4. Although there was no confirmation on the size of its display, we are hoping Apple outfits the phone with at least a 4 inch touch screen.
The insiders wish to remain anonymous, since the phone manufacturer has not gone public on the said smartphone’s release date. Steve Jobs is probably hunting them down as we speak for the leak of information and spoiling the surprise.
When Apple was questioned about these leaked reports, they refused to comment. However, this is not surprising since they would still want to keep information about the smartphone a mystery.
It is most likely that the 5th generation smartphone will be announced on July, which gives them enough time to satisfy demand for the new handset on the following month. It is also most likely that we will see the same craze similar to that of the release of the iPad 2.
If you’ve found this post then it’s likely that on your iPhone 5 search travels you’ve probably been exposed to so many rumours that sorting the chaff from the wheat has become almost impossible but we’ve now got some pretty good news for you.
It transpires that Apple have booked the Moscone Centre where the WWDC 2011 event is due to be held this year where they invite important techies and application developers to discuss the future of the App Store and other important issues which may not sound that exciting until we remind you that for the last couple of years the ‘big man’ Steve Jobs has appeared in person on stage to announced the latest iPhone.

The Californian firm that operate the Moscone Centre have now confirmed that although it’s booked by who they believe to be Apple from June 5th to 10th the event itself is due to kick off from June 6th which is now being touted as Apple iPhone 5 day.
The new iPhone 5 will have nothing official confirmed in terms of specification before the day but unconfirmed leaks and rumours dictate that we can expect a dual core processor, a large 4 inch screen with edge to edge display and NFC technology for wireless payments.
Considering Steve Job’s health of late it may not be the man himself on the big stage although he did manage to make it to a recent event showing his dedication to the company but whoever it may be on the day it seems that June 6th is the day to be put in your diary as iPhone 5 day.
