Nokia’s budget Windows Phone the Lumia 610 seems to have hit a snag. The handset comes with only 256 MB of RAM, which are the lowest specs required to run Microsoft’s operating system. Unfortunately, this is the reason the handset cannot run apps such as Rovio’s Angry Birds, Skype, PES 2012, Plants vs Zombies, and Assassin’s Creed. If you attempt to download these apps, you will get an error message. Handsets such as the Lumia 800 and 900 do not experience this problem.
Microsoft has tried to avoid the fragmentation that plagues Android. Sadly, in their attempt to bring cheaper Windows Phone handsets into the hands of the consumer, these budget Windows Phones have fallen victim to fragmentation. However, the difference between WP and Android is the sheer number of Android handsets in the market compared to only a few Windows Phones.
Are you willing to get your hands on a low-end Nokia Lumia 610 at the expense of not being able to install Angry Birds, Skype, and more? Give us your thoughts.

A Latvian developer who made malware-embedded copies of Angry Birds, Assassin’s Creed, and Cut the Rope on Google Play was fined £50,000. The developer was also ordered to pay an amount of £28,000 in damages.
According to BBC, more than 1,000 users were affected by the malware infected-games. The malware rendered the fake games unplayable and sent SMS text messages without the knowledge of the users, which cost £5 per message.
The £50,000 fined is for the many intellectual property infringement violations against Rovio, Gameloft, and ZeptoLab. This is also the first time infringements on Google Play were taken to court and fined charges. The £28,000 will be paid to the Android users affected by the malware.
This only shows that Google Play is finally taking a stand against developers of malware.
Have you been affected by malware on the said fake games on your Samsung Galaxy S2 or HTC One X? Let us know through a comment.

Rovio has just released a teaser website of its new game Angry Birds Heikki. It seems the new game is a spinoff of the Finnish game developer’s highly popular Angry Birds franchise, which is looks to focus more on racing.
Typing ‘heikki.angrybirds.com’ on your browser will take you to the teaser image. Taking a look at the page source shows the phrase, “Where’s Heikki’s F1 racing helmet gone?! The Angry Birds have a hunch!”
If you’re not familiar with the name Heikki, the name refers to Heikki Kovalainen, a Finnish F1 driver. This suggests that an Angry Birds racing game is coming on the 18th of June 2012.
Does this mean that Rovio will be releasing a racing game like Nintendo’s Mario Kart? Honestly, this has been overdone for ages. It’s also possible that the teaser website is referring to version of Angry Birds sponsoring the Formula 1 driver rather than a full-blown sequel to Angry Birds. After all, Rovio has just recently launched Angry Birds Space. We’ll just have to wait and see until Rovio launches the game for devices such as the Apple iPhone 4S and the Samsung Galaxy S3 next month to know for sure.
What do you make of this new teaser website, Angry Birds Heikki, launched by Rovio? Share your opinion through a comment.
