Apple makes biggest change in iOS 7 – changes font to Helvetica Neue

According to a report, Apple has made significant changes in iOS 7. One of these changes is changing the font to Helvetica Neue. It says this will look better on your iPhone.hero

The report comes from the Business Insider. It reports, “In the iOS update, Apple thickened the primary font used throughout the system. Apple is now using Helvetica Neue at a regular weight instead of Helvetica Neue light.

“It may seem like a small difference. It’s not.”

On App.net, a reader writes, “That has to be the biggest design change Apple has done during beta period. Designer Neven Mrgan replies, “Indeed. And good for them. Good for us, too!”

iOS 7 will be rolling out in the fall.
