The HTC M7 has been heavily leaked on the internet, which gives us a pretty clear idea on what the handset will look like and what features it will have. However, according to a recent rumour, the Taiwanese firm may not call it the M7 upon launch. It might be called simply the ‘One’.
The rumour comes to us via Twitter account @evleaks. It says, “HTC M7 coming to market as simply the HTC One.”
Of course, since this news is yet to be confirmed by HTC, treat it as a mere rumour for now. However, @evleaks does have a reputation for being right on the button. So don’t count them out. Furthermore, HTC boss Peter Chou chanted “HTC One” right after shouting out “M7”, so we may just see the Taiwanese firm launch its new flagship as the HTC One.
Currently, HTC uses the One moniker on a number of handsets such as the One X, One S, and One V. Although it may sound redundant, it may be looking to capitalise on what buyers already know.
