French site Frandroid has leaked a photo showing the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 alongside the Galaxy Note 2. It also shows the device sporting a stylus. The photo of the device looks like previous leaked photos showing the 8-inch device.
Like all versions of the Note, the photo shows that the Galaxy Note 8.0 (or Note 8) will sport the S Pen stylus.
The photo also shows something interesting. It shows two separate movable windows of two different apps (possibly a Chrome browser and a Facebook app or two separate Chrome windows), just like desktop operating systems. Currently, the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy Note 10.1 only offer a split-screen, wherein users can run two apps simultaneously. The new system looks more flexible.
Despite the criticism, Samsung has proven that there is an audience for phablets (cross between a smartphone and a tablet). The Korean tech giant has sold millions of the Galaxy Note 2, which means people are still willing to get their hands on large screens sporting a stylus.
We’re expecting Samsung to officially unveil the Galaxy Note 8.0 at Mobile World Congress, which will be kicking off at Barcelona towards the end of February.
