iPhone 5S rumoured to look identical to the iPhone 5 as leaked picture surfaces

A leaked photo of the iPhone 5S’ casing has surfaced on the internet, showing us what the rumoured iOS-powered smartphone may look like. Judging from the casing’s shape, it seems the next generation iPhone will look exactly like the iPhone 5.

Nowhereelse.fr, a French site, spotted the picture on the forum iPhone5parts.net. The image shows the devices casing shaped just like Apple’s current smartphone, but with different internal fixings.

It’s possible that this casing is a fake, with the internals tweaked. However, it would make sense for the Cupertino firm to slightly move around the handset’s internals since Apple is likely to outfit the phone with new components. These include a more powerful processor and a larger battery.

If this photo is the real deal, the similarly sized casing suggests that Apple will be placing the same 4-inch retina display of the iPhone 5 on the iPhone 5S.

The iPhone 5 is a solid device that packs the powerful A6 chip and a larger 4-inch screen every Apple fan was waiting for. However, the smartphone is far from perfect. The phone is will set you back £529, which will cost you an arm and a leg. Furthermore, it seems Apple failed to test its software properly before making it available to the public. The result is the purple haze effect affecting the phone’s camera and the Apple Maps app mess.

Of course, since Apple is yet to announce anything official about the rumoured iPhone 5S, take this information with a pinch of salt. We are, however, expecting more leaks in the months to come.

The iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, or whatever Apple plans to name the phone is expected to be unveiled in autumn of next year.
