Apple says ‘Samsung’s copying went far deeper than we knew’

The verdict is in, and Samsung was ordered to pay Apple more than $1 billion in damages.

The Galaxy S3 maker says that Apple’s victory is a “loss for the American consumer”. Apple, on the other hand, was happy the outcome went their way.

The Cupertino firm was also happy to show the ‘originality’ of their products.

In a statement, the iPhone maker said, “We are grateful to the jury for their service and for investing the time to listen to our story and we were thrilled to be able to finally tell it.

“The mountain of evidence presented during the trail showed that Samsung’s copying went far deeper than even we knew.”
