Specs and an image of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 have been sent to GSMArena by an anonymous tipster.
It’s unclear whether the image is genuine or not, but it does look like a larger version of the Galaxy S3.
According to the source, the Galaxy Note’s successor will sport a 1.5GHz Exynos quad-core processor just like the S3. Other specs include a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,280×800 pixels and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera.
Samsung has announced its plans of updating its devices to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). However, it’s still unclear if the Note 2 will ship running Jelly Bean or Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with a Jelly Bean update soon after.
The Galaxy Note 2 is set to launch at a Samsung press event kicking off on the 29th of August.
