Analyst claims Blackberry 10 will fail giving Samsung an opportunity to purchase RIM

In an interview with Canada’s Globe and Mail, Peter Misek, an analyst at Jefferies & Company, said that Blackberry 10 will fail to compete against Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS. This will give Samsung an opportunity to acquire the ailing Canadian phone manufacturer.

Misek also discusses two possible scenarios for Research In Motion. The first would be to license BB10 to other manufacturers. The other is a total buyout by the Galaxy S3 maker.

Misek says that Samsung’s interest in RIM has to do with the Korean firm’s “ramping up its internal OS development efforts”.
