Sony’s XPERIA LT29i Hayabusa (GX) has been leaked in the internet before its official launch.
The upcoming handset sports a 1.5GHz Qualcomm S4 Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4.6-inch 720p display, and a 13-megapixel camera. The handset looks to be the successor of the XPERIA Arc, which was released in 2011. The GX is a mere 8.6mm thick, slimmer than the Arc. The handset will run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Unfortunately, it is still unknown whether the phone will be updated to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) or not.
One thing strange about the leak is that the handset still bears the Sony Ericsson logo. This suggests that the handset was developed when Sony still had a partnership with Ericsson.
Although Sony is yet to disclose the official launch of the handset, it is expected to make an appearance at IFA 2012 alongside the successor of the XPERIA S.
