Pegatron factories rumoured to start iPhone 5 production

According to DigiTimes’ Taiwanese ‘industry sources’ Pegatron factories in China have begun its production of the hotly-anticipated iPhone 5.

Normally, Foxconn factories have been leading the charge when it comes to Apple devices. It has been Apple’s main manufacturer with devices such as the iPhone 4S and the new iPad. Will Foxconn be involved in the production of the iPhone 5? This still remains a mystery.

Digitimes’ sources also claim Pegatron has ‘become the second OEM maker of a new version of iPad’. Were they referring to the iPad mini or the new iPad? This is also a mystery.
