Google Nexus 7 photo leaked before tonight’s unveiling

Google I/O is yet to kick off, and a photo of the Google Nexus 7 has leaked before its unveiling scheduled for this evening.

The photo was spotted by Android Police, showing a small tablet with a grey casing and ASUS’ logo found on the back of the device.

Google’s 7-inch tablet is said to sport a display with a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels and a quad-core processor. It will not come with a rear-facing camera or 3G support. It will, instead, connect to the internet via Wi-Fi. It will run Google’s next version of Android (Jelly Bean) It is said to set you back $200 or less.

Since the Google Nexus 7 will be an affordable tablet, it is more an Amazon Kindle Fire rival rather than an iPad rival.
