Trial between Apple and Samsung set for next week in the UK

Since April of 2011, Apple (makers of the iPhone 4S) and Samsung (makers of the Galaxy S3) have been waging legal battles in various countries around the world. Now, the two are taking the fight to the UK on Monday.

On the Ministry of Justice’s website, a court date between Samsung Electronics (UK) vs Apple Inc. has been published. The proceedings will start on the 18th of June (Monday) at 10.30am, which will be held in the Rolls building in the High Court of Justice. His Honour Judge Birss was assigned to the trial.

So what’s the issue here? Apple claims that Galaxy tablets infringe on the iPad’s design. Samsung, of course, seeks for the declaration of non-infringement.

It looks like we’ll have to endure another grueling legal debacle between Apple and Samsung.
