HP TouchPad to launch final production run

If you’re looking to get your hands on the discontinued webOS-powered HP TouchPad, this might be your chance. HP will be launching the tablet’s final production run.

The announcement was made by HP in a blog post. However, it did clarify that the last sale would be available specifically to North America. If you missed the price cut, the shipping fees on top of the cheap price tag is still a bargain.

Although the webOS showed a lot of promise, no one seemed to be interested in purchasing the TouchPad. However, when HP massively cut the price down to £90, it was quickly sold out. The tablet’s last production run will give bargain hunters one last chance to get their hands on a cheap tablet.

HP is yet to clarify if the tablet will still be sold at £90. However, it makes no sense going back to its original price since it has been proven to sell like hotcakes once the price was slashed. HP will be using its remaining components for the final production run.

This last production run will take place in the coming weeks. By then, will you still be interested in buying an HP TouchPad, or would you have moved on to another tablet? Give us your thoughts.
