According to Craig Berger, FBR Capital analyst, Apple will be releasing an HD version of the iPad 2 with its new flagship smartphone the iPhone 5 this September.
The report adds that the HD version of the iPad 2 will be dubbed the iPad Pro. This is the same way Apple PCs are named. An example is the MacBook Pro.
You should take this information with a grain of salt. There is no way to confirm if the analyst’s reports are accurate. Furthermore, we don’t find his predictions convincing. Why would Apple release an HD version when the iPad is performing exceptionally well when it comes to sales?
It would make more sense if Apple were to release a cheaper version of the iPad 2. This way, it could corner the market and prevent Android tablets fro going forward.
Despite our reservations, the iPad Pro could target a more specific niche like videographers and photographers, who need an HD screen for their line of work. This makes sense as well.
With all the grains of salt you’re taking, you must now be suffering from congestive heart failure. There are just so many rumors surrounding Apple devices that there is no way to tell which one is true. One thing’s for sure, we’ll get to know the real deal by September. However, once these mooted devices finally come out, there will be more rumors surrounding next generation Apple iDevices.
